Fraud of 9.38 lakhs from 900 girls for false money to teach sewing and embroidery

Jasan, Patiala: A Chandigarh company cheated 9 lakh 38 thousand 750 rupees by promising to teach girls sewing and embroidery for less money. The company escaped after collecting money from around 900 girls living in the city and surrounding areas. The police have named four people, including the company director. When the company collaborated with Ajit Bagh, a resident of Gupidar Kaur living in Patiala, he took charge of the project. Gupidar Kaur told that money was taken from around 400 girls at the rate of Rs 690 per month. When he collected four lakh 26 thousand rupees, he handed over the money to the company. Later, the company said that if an awareness camp is yet to be set up, then it will cost more than Rs 150 per child. In such a situation, he collected the money again and deposited it with the officers of the company. He said that even after sending more than nine and a half lakh rupees to the company, if he did not start the work, then he complained to the police. Police of Thana Civil Line have registered a case against the statements of One Way Skill Management and Technology Private Limited Sector 26 Chandigarh, Madan Yadav, Sohit Sharma Volunteer, Vineet, Bidra on the statements of Gupidar Kaur. Investigating officer ASI Balkar Singh said that the matter is being investigated.

According to the police, the said company has a large network, who had mentioned opening of an office in Patiala to make needy girls a stitch-embroidery course for less money. For this, saying that there should be a six-month course, the fee of Rs 690 per month was told. At the end of the course, a project was given to give Rs 2500 cash and a certificate to the girls. Gupidar Kaur collaborated with the company after coming to this hoax. After this, Gupidar Kaur continued to collect money from the girls, working according to the company. Gupidar Kaur gave a complaint to the police for not opening an office in the city, about three months ago, the said accused had agreed to return the money in a settlement. After this, the accused switched off the phone. Police Civil Line Police has registered a case against the accused taking the opinion of DA Legal.
